Kansas City Guns N’ Hoses is one of the largest fund raisers for the Kansas City Crime Commission’s Surviving Spouse and Family Endowment Fund (S.A.F.E.) The S.A.F.E. program was started by the Kansas City Crime Commission in 2003 to provide immediate financial assistance to surviving families of first responders who lose their life in the line of duty. What once was a $3,000 immediate benefit is today a $25,000 immediate benefit through events like this one. Every year, brave men and women of the Kansas City metro area’s police, fire and EMTs train to box in this charity boxing event. Your support stays within nine surrounding counties, and provides immediate assistance when a fallen first responder’s family needs it the most.
